As I said, this is not just your supermarket bread. In turn, Frank’s Altamura Vodka is not just your regular run-of-the-mill vodka but one made with this very special wheat. How did he come by this bread living in Atlanta?

The four Gold medallists were Dutch Barn Vodka, Baxter Vodka, Von Est Wheat Vodka, and Altamura Distilleries Vodka. The latter expression delivered aromas of “orchard fruits” and was found to be “well balanced”. Two vodkas were viewed as deserving of Silver medals for their smooth qualities… Altamura Distilleries Vodka also added to its growing medal haul in this round with another Gold medal. Gorn said the vodka was “lovely round and elegant, with everything in balance…”

“Si torna a viaggiare, e si torna nella mia amata Puglia. Oggi siamo ad Ostuni, la città bianca, famosa in tutto il mondo per la sua bellezza ed unicità. Ad aspettarmi c’è Frank Grillo proprietario di Altamura Distilleries, un nuovissimo brand nato nella mia terra che mi ha colpito per la sua unicità. Con Frank ci dirigiamo verso il Riccardo Cafè un bar nel pittoresco centro storico di Ostuni a ridosso dell’antica cinta muraria, fra le caratteristiche case dipinte a calce viva, vicoli stretti e le suggestive gradinate. Seduti ad un tavolino chiedo a Frank come mai dagli Stati Uniti abbia avuto il desiderio di venire in Italia e in Puglia. Mi racconta che ha sempre desiderato vivere in Italia, sia la famiglia di suo padre che quella di sua madre sono originarie di qui! Gli chiedo se questa esperienza in questo mondo l’avesse iniziata negli Stati Uniti e mi dice che professionalmente, da sempre, si occupa di marketing ed è piu precisamente, un consulente di marketing…”
